Most 6.0L owners unfortunately wait to begin contemplating a coolant filter kit once
they've already gone through an expensive parts and labor bill to replace a failed engine
oil cooler. We wanted to be sure this doesn't happen to you. We offer a variety of
coolant filter kits, all equally effective, just slightly different designs from different
manufacturers.
With nothing more than basic hand tools, you'll install the complete kit in less than one
hour.
The purpose of the coolant filter kit is to remove small solid particles from your cooling
system to help keep the engine coolers, water pump, and radiator clean.
After the installation, we recommend changing the simple spin on filter a few times for
the first year of driving. The more frequent filter changes will remove most of the debris
from the system and allow you to go to a once-a-year service interval.
