Introducing our 2.5 Slapper Bump Stop kit, designed for easy installation on our NEW Trail Series long-travel kit or stock length performance lower arms. This kit enhances strength and rigidity by double shearing the upper arm frame pivots. It offers a non-UCA gusset version for simpler installations, including a weld-on frame mount for the bump stop. The addition of a bump stop provides improved control and bottoming resistance, resulting in a soft plush ride through small obstacles and better handling of bigger hits and g-outs. The slapper arm setup allows the air bump to strike further outboard on the lower arm, making it more effective and efficient. The motion ratio geometry remains consistent throughout the bottoming out travel, ensuring constant contact with the lower arm and preventing the bump stop from swiping the arm. The bump stop only engages during bottoming, allowing free movement in the "ride zone" for a more active suspension. The slapper arm design also incorporates a rubber pad to reduce noise upon contact. Our kit is designed for use with custom FOX or King 2.5 bump stops, which function similarly to air shocks. We have extensively tested and fine-tuned these bump stops for optimal performance with our kit. The FOX's cerakoted gray coating, used in FOX's trophy truck race shocks, ensures high performance and durability. We provide aircraft AN bolts for the upper and lower mounts, offering maximum strength with the proper grip/shoulder length. The mounts come raw and require welding, after which we recommend spraying them with black Steel-IT for added protection. Please note that this kit is specifically designed for our Trail Series L/T kit and stock length slapper compatible lower arms, and is not compatible with our Race Series L/T kit.
