As we strolled around SEMA or viewed the pictures of the convention, we saw a truck that we probably didn't think would be the center of attention. However, it is a huge hit! Why? I think we have the answers.

The all-new Ford Maverick, available in either hybrid or 2.0L Ecoboost engine configurations, along with FWD (Front Wheel Drive) or AWD (All WheelDrive), covers all the bases for fun, sportiness, mileage, and convenience.

The Maverick fits in well to Ford's lineup, it's about the same size as the previous generation Ranger. It has a low roof line, due to the unibody construction. This is appealing to those who want a car like ride, easy entry and exit, in a truck that can actually do work. This lower center of gravity is perfect for performance enthusiasts. The handling is very good and has a lot of potential with suspension upgrades. Some compare it to the Ford Ranchero or Chevy El Camino, but I'd say the Maverick is somewhere closer to in between that and a truck.

On the other hand, we do have enthusiasts that want to use their Maverick in the dirt. So, for them we offer leveling and lift kits, as well as larger tires. With the drive modes, the Maverick performs well in the dirt, mud, and snow. It almost feels like a UTV with larger tires and the smaller size.

The Maverick has a similar drivetrain as the Bronco Sport, which makes finding accessories, like wheels and tires very easy.

For tuning, HP Tuners has the ECM and TCM both covered. We are very familiar 2.0L Ecoboost and 8 speed transmission, so tuning is a breeze. Response, power, and crisp shifting are a few of the benefits. We were able to click off a 14.1-14.2 sec. ET consistently, so the power is there. Stock, ranged from 15.8-15.4 in the 1/4. The power is less consistent stock as the truck heats up.
